What is Ashes of the Sharmat?

Ashes of the Sharmat is a TES3MP server in development that seeks to combine the rich world of Morrowind with the communal storytelling of a tabletop RPG and an increased level of difficulty. A modpack is in the process of being created combining hundreds of lore-friendly mods rebalanced to provide new challenges and experiences in every part of the world. The goal is to create a new experience of a classic game that can be enjoyed with a roleplaying flare to all aspects of it.
 
The core of the server will be player interaction and roleplay taking place in Morrowind after the disappearance of the Tribunal and the Nerevarine, led and guided by a team of DMs responsible for organizing major political story arcs and helping new players find their characters' place in the world. However, the primary roleplay aspect of the server will not come at the expense of the gameplay. Many aspects of the game will be rebalanced to make it more challenging while adding a variety of new items and quests.

Development is currently being done by one person though volunteers with modding experience are welcome. Questions can be asked on our discord server linked above.
